About Ximena
Ximena commenced her Insurance career as a Receptionist with an insurance broker in 1991, and after a short period of time with the business, was enrolled into a Traineeship in Insurance. Over the subsequent years, she worked her way up the ranks until she was managing her own insurance broking portfolio, with a client focus around the amusement industry, specifically, show rides, circuses and amusements parks.
Whilst in this role, Ximena was presented with an opportunity to work with Austbrokers Holdings Limited, as a consultant, assisting with the development of IT solutions for Insurance Brokers and training the various Insurance Broking members within the Austbrokers Network on the main invoicing system.
In 2003, in response to the HIH collapse, the Financial Services Reform Act was launched changing the legislation, processes and procedures within the Insurance Industry. Ximena took on a training role for those same Insurance Broking members, specifically in the areas of IT, Risk Management, Compliance and Human Resources and assisting with their new licensing obligations.
In 2005, Ximena formed part of the Prospectus verification team and facilitated the consolidation of information when Austbrokers Holdings Limited went through their Initial Public Offering (IPO) to become the publicly listed company they are today, AUB Group Ltd.
In October 2008, Ximena was approached to join (then named) Austbrokers AEI Transport Pty Ltd to take on the role as their General Manager. She was appointed as a Director in 2019.
