Angus joined AEI as an Account Executive in 2018, when the allure of the insurance industry pried him away from the world of television journalism.

In short order he progressed from a member of the Group’s SME division to managing a large portfolio of corporate clients primarily in the Transport and Logistics space, with his professionalism, continued development and emerging leadership earning him a promotion to Partner within the business in 2023. He remains responsible for managing his team out of our North Sydney office along with many of AEI’s flagship long-term clientele.

Personable, diligent and thorough, Angus prides himself on being able to utilise his past skill set to ‘cut through the spin’ of an insurance policy or program and provide his clients with a simple yet comprehensive analysis of all aspects related to risk transfer and management in order to deliver innovative, competitive and quality solutions.

Angus holds a Bachelor of Media, Communications and Journalism from the University of New South Wales and since joining AEI has obtained his Diploma of Financial Services and is now a recognised Qualified Practising Insurance Broker (QPIB) by the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA). Outside of formal qualifications, Angus is passionate about continued growth both within the industry and for his own managerial skillset, attending numerous workshops and conferences year-on-year to further these.

Away from the corporate office, Angus is most often found in the sporting arena. Whether it’s captaining his social cricket team, teeing it up on a Northern Beaches golf course, cheering on his beloved Sydney Swans or ticking attendance at a global sporting event off the bucket list, you’ll find him doing it all with unmatched enthusiasm. He’s even got his wife on board, with the honeymoon involving trips to Wimbledon and the Open Championship!
