Our History
Insurance Brokerage
AEI Insurance Broking Group can trace its heritage back to Australian European Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd which was formed in the early 1980’s in Sydney which grew to become a significant national insurance broking firm.
In the early 2000’s Australian European Brokers Pty Ltd was sold to Austbrokers Holdings Ltd as part of the ASX listing and in the mid 2000’s an opportunity arose for Tim Wedlock & Michael Donaldson, in partnership with Austbrokers Holdings, to segment a large Transport & Logistics insurance portfolio and to form Austbrokers AEI Transport Pty Ltd.
That business has evolved to become one of the largest specialist transport and logistics insurance brokers in Australia.
Austbrokers AEI Transport Pty Ltd were keen to develop it’s non-transport industry business in 2010 & 2012 acquired two Commercial Insurance Portfolio’s from Alex & Russell Chegwyn respectively establishing Austbrokers AEI Pty Ltd. The two Companies became known as the Austbrokers AEI Group.
Today
Today the group employs over 100 highly qualified insurance brokers and claims technicians, including Workers Compensation specialists.
